Walter Cappilati to become Head of Application and Infrastructure Services of the LATAM region at Capgemini

Paris – Patrick Nicolet, member of the Group Management Board, has appointed Walter Cappilati as Head of the LATAM region. Walter Cappilati will be developing application and infrastructure services on the continent where more than 9,000 Capgemini employees are already based. Walter Cappilati will be based in Brazil, where Capgemini is one of the leaders of the IT service industry since the acquisition of CPM Braxis at end of 2010. The appointment takes effect as of 1 October.
"We chose a seasoned manager who has had the opportunity to get to know the Group well during his 16 years at Capgemini. Walter is a great leader and shows passion in his work. I am convinced he will develop our application and infrastructure services businesses to greater heights with his absolute commitment to the market and people," said Patrick Nicolet.

Biography:
Walter Cappilati has held various positions since he joined Capgemini in 1997: he started his career as Commercial Director for Public Services for "Capgemini South". He was appointed Commercial Director of the Rhône-Alpes region in 1998, Commercial Director for the Energy and Public Sectors in 2000, Executive Director of the North-East region in France in 2002, Executive Director of Aerospace & Defence in 2004 and lastly Deputy CEO of Application Services in France since 2013.
 
Aged 47, Walter holds a degree in economic sciences and one in engineering and negotiation. He also attended the 64th national session of IHEDN – "Defense Policy" in 2011-2012.
