| Press release
Capgemini Consulting has announced new promotions that reflect the ongoing expansion in major client programmes.

Capgemini Consulting UK, the management consultancy arm of Capgemini UK plc, has appointed five new vice presidents in internal promotions that take effect immediately. The appointments are:

Michael Hoey, Vice President of Supply Chain and Operations Management

Neil MacLean, Vice President and Head of Consulting, Scotland

Gerry Miles, Vice President, HR and Employee Transformation

Robin Vasudeva, Vice President, Finance Transformation and Performance Management

Chris Webster, Vice President, Retail Consulting and Technology

Tom Blacksell, Chief Executive Officer of Capgemini Consulting UK, said: ‘These promotions reflect the strong consulting market and Capgemini’s success in moving into the top tier of management consultancies here in the UK and – last but not least – the outstanding track record and calibre of the five individuals concerned.’

Michael Hoey is a Chartered Engineer with an honours degree in Manufacturing Engineering from the University of Strathclyde and an MBA degree from the University of Durham. His extensive consultancy experience has been gained across many industries including the FMCG and automotive sectors where he has advised at executive board level and led major supply chain transformation programmes for some of the world’s leading blue chip companies.

Neil MacLean is a Fellow of the Chartered Certified Accountants and also holds an MBA degree. His appointment follows his outstanding contribution to growing Capgemini’s consulting business in Scotland very substantially over the last two years. His ten years’ experience as a consultant heading large and complex transformational projects spans the public sector, defence, high-tech industries and oil & gas. In his new role he will lead the Capgemini Consulting team in Scotland to work closely with both the private and public sectors.

Gerry Miles is one of the UK’s leading experts on HR transformation, talent management and people change, and the author of a number of books and articles on these topics. A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development, his expertise is based on extensive consultancy experience across the government and private sectors and his track record of delivering significant client benefits through successful innovation in HR.

Robin Vasudeva is a leading advisor to private and public sector executives on improving the contribution finance can make to their wider business and on implementing sustainable change in this area. In his new role he will lead the performance management agenda across central government and support clients in both the private and public sectors in transforming their finance functions. His outstanding ability to direct complex change programmes provides the maximum beneficial impact to clients; he also guides those he works with to realise their full potential.

Chris Webster has led Capgemini teams working on major retail supply chain programmes that have delivered important benefits to clients that include most of the UK’s top ten household-name retailers. Recognised as a challenging and lucid thought leader in supply chain (and especially retail supply chain), he has been Chairman of Judges for the last three years in the European Supply Chain Excellence Awards. His new role will span all aspects of the retail sector including merchandising, inventory management, pricing and promotions, logistics and in-store operations.
