Over 200 entries were filed for this year’s awards representing various innovative and smart sustainability initiatives being run by the UK’s leading green companies. TravelWell, our UK-based holistic approach to sustainable employee travel by Capgemini UK with the slogan “BeWell, BeSafe, BeGreen, BeSmart” was awarded the Green Transport Project of the Year 2012.
Winning the prestigious title is a great achievement for Capgemini UK ‘s TravelWell scheme with nominations for the category including projects from foremost companies, such as Agri Energy and Keystone Distribution Limited (for cooking oil biodiesel project), EvFriendly, (for South West electric vehicle network rollout) and Travel de Courcey (for their GreenRoad deployment).
Capgemini UK was the only company to be shortlisted in three categories: Sustainability Team of the Year, Green IT Project of the Year (for our carbon accounting system deployment), and Green Transport Project of the Year. The nominations and the award demonstrate that Capgemini’s Sustainability agenda is right on track toward cutting Britain’s carbon footprint and contributing to a sustainable and eco-friendly business.
