New York – Capgemini, one of the world’s foremost providers of consulting, technology and outsourcing services, today announced it was awarded the Prime Supplier of the Year Award by global client The Coca-Cola Company. The award is one of the highest honours Coca-Cola bestows on its key suppliers each year.
The award, presented to Capgemini at Coca-Cola’s 2013 Partners in Promise Awards Celebration in Atlanta, recognises suppliers who have made outstanding contributions with internal teams to move business initiatives forward while championing supplier diversity. Capgemini has helped Coca-Cola increase its diversity procurement in the areas of IT, BPO, and business consulting for more than 20 years.
“Capgemini has been remarkable in its business relationship with The Coca-Cola Company. While their results are outstanding, more impressive is their enduring commitment to supplier diversity. In awarding the Partners in the Promise Award, we salute the stewardship they have shown in responsible supply chain management. We also recognise that their innovative approaches to supplier diversity align with Coca-Cola’s own goals of reaching best-in-class performance,” stated Terrez Thompson, Vice President, Global Supplier Diversity, The Coca-Cola Company.
“We are honoured to be recognised by The Coca-Cola Company with whom we share a core business value of empowering a diverse workforce to deliver impactful business outcomes,” said Paul Dickens, Director, Supplier Diversity and Engagement, Capgemini. “Our growing supplier diversity programme has set a new standard for responsible supply chain management and Capgemini is committed to expanding its work with more diverse suppliers to solve complex problems for our clients around the globe.”
