Capgemini UK Digital Experience Design Services are a newly formed team working alongside others within Capgemini. We design, adapt and develop user experiences tailored to customers’ real life, across different interfaces, devices and digital platforms.

Main Purpose Of Role

The focus of your role
We’re looking for a Visual Designer willing to embark on this exciting new journey and help us shape it. You will work with digital strategists, UX designers and technologists in a creative environment to develop new product ideas and bring them to market and help our clients deliver the best customer experience, leveraging creative talent and business acumen to enable the team to deliver the best and optimal solution.

Our work requires us to balance user needs with business objectives: the right products for our clients are the ones that meet both. The Visual Designer focus is mainly on the ideation and creative side of projects and this is reflected in the responsibilities outlined below.

Key Responsibilities

What you’ll do
You’ll be part of the experience design team that will bring ideas alive through digital interfaces, from web to mobile applications. Your end products will be animation/motion solutions and demos created with the relevant software. As a creative with a digital mindset, you’ll be responsible for:
• Translating ideas in great and beautiful visual execution that will enhance user experiences through interfaces that are relevant (doing the right thing), easy to use (doing it right), beautiful and on brand (appealing).
• Translating concepts into designs that illustrate simplicity despite system complexity.
• Taking content from agency.
• Creating instant tangibility for the Capgemini team and the client, through storytelling and rapid prototyping methods, ranging from paper sketching to digital prototyping.
• Working closely with agencies providing content and assets as well as development teams to ensure that design specifications are implemented. You’ll participate as a contributor to an interdisciplinary team that includes other designers, program management, business and brand strategists, and hardware and software developers.

Skills and Experience

What you’ll bring
You are young visionary and dynamic with 2+ years’ experience working in user interface design with consumer applications, predominantly mobile devices, and rich web apps/site.
You have a good experience with driving and applying user-centred design processes while working collaboratively with the clients and their customers, along with cross-functional teams including engineering, product management and user research.

Experience:
• You’ll have a relevant degree or professional qualification(s).
• Proficient in and/or knowledge of relevant software packages i.e. Photoshop, Illustrator, Axure or Sketch, In Design, Flash, 3D graphics packages, and motion graphics software.
• Experience creating visual design guidelines and documentation, design language systems and motion studies.
• Demonstrable skills in illustration, photography, or diagrammatic expertise (information visualization) and iconography are an advantage.
• Experience of presenting concepts and justify design decisions, as well as multi-tasking.
• Demonstrable attention to detail.
• Willingness to travel.

You’ll demonstrate professionalism and flexibility - you’ll be able to adjust positively to situations that involve changing tasks and/or location, shifting priorities or ambiguity.

Additional Information

Whilst you will have London as an office base location, you must be fully flexible in terms of assignment location, as these roles may involve periods of time away from home at short notice.

We offer a remuneration package which includes fixed salary, and in addition for Senior Consultant and above, you will receive variable compensation dependent on company and personal performance. We also offer flexible benefits options for you to choose to suit your own personal circumstances.
