Main Purpose Of Role

As part of this growth in demand, we are seeking an experienced Principal/Director level consultant to join our team of highly talented consultants, working on the pursuit and delivery of smart energy (including Smart Grid and Smart Metering) consulting services in the Utilities sector (Water and Power) as well as providing subject matter expertise, capability development and intellectual capital.

Skills and Experience

What you'll bring:

• Significant experience gained within Consulting within the Utilities (Water & Power) sector.
• Evidence of having developed consulting business within the utilities sector – you’ll have personal business development targets of circa £1.5m per annum.
• Experience of managing large complex programmes and delivering smart energy advisory services / projects.
• Ability to apply knowledge in the following areas:
o Smart Energy (Smart Grid, Smart Metering, Connected Home) knowledge;
o Deployment of smart energy solutions
o Supporting capabilities for Smart Energy including Asset Management, Workforce Management, Business Strategy, Business Planning.
o Supporting technologies for Smart Energy, including Scada, Telecoms, Central Market Systems, Big Data, Cloud, Metering systems, CRM and Billing.
o Emerging trends in Smart Energy such as Storage, Community Energy, Distributed Generation, Advanced Energy Transmission and Distribution systems.
o Operationalising Smart Energy solutions, for example transitioning Smart Metering into operations, integrating Smart Grid into business as usual.
