Capgemini UK Digital Experience Design Services are a newly formed team working alongside others within Capgemini. We design, adapt and develop user experiences tailored to customers’ real life, across different interfaces, devices and digital platforms.

Main Purpose Of Role

The focus of your role
We’re looking for a Digital Experience Strategist willing to embark on this exciting new journey and help us shape it. You will work with designers and technologists in a creative environment to develop new product ideas and bring them to market and help our clients deliver the best customer experience, leveraging creative talent and business acumen to enable the team to deliver the best and optimal solution.

Our work requires us to balance user needs with business objectives: the right products for our clients are the ones that meet both. A strategist’s focus leans slightly more towards the business end of the spectrum, and this is reflected in the responsibilities outlined below.

Key Responsibilities

What you’ll do
You’ll be at the forefront of the customer experience design. You’ll understand the clients business and their customers, the holistic customer journey and shape the digital journey within it. You’ll understand the interdependencies between all media and touchpoints and how the digital ones will integrate to enhance the customer experience.

You’ll think strategically about how the digital customer experience will impact the marketing objectives from awareness, to conversion, purchase, customer service and advocacy. You’ll identify innovative digital customer experience opportunities and work with clients to optimise existing ones, all in response to user, cultural and business insight.

Within the Digital Experience Design project implementation you will:

• Synthesize quantitative / qualitative findings and develop insights.
• Use quantitative and observational research data to shape personas, ideal customer journeys, key experiences and interactions.
• Contribute to ideation workshops.
• Understand the interdependencies across all media from TV to 1-2-1 communication and all touchpoints, mobile, tablets and IoT in order to define the interaction between digital and physical media and touchpoints.
• Develop and design the digital customer journeys and identify the most appropriate touchpoints for each stage of the journey.
• Be able to work in synergy with the Agencies generating brand content and to advise and provide recommendation about content management for each stage of the journey and across all digital touchpoints.
• Take part in prototyping and user feedback sessions.
• Develop opportunity maps and experience models.

You’ll be working in a team with senior strategists, visual and UX designers, digital architects as well as the consultants and engineers within Capgemini to develop the right strategies and frameworks that will enable the front end design and development of the digital experience and its integration with technology.

Skills and Experience

What you’ll bring
Fundamentally a strategist, you’ll bring the ability to stimulate, understand and assess the creative process.
You’ll have familiarity with some aspects of software architecture and development, as well as interaction design, visual identity and industrial design.

You may bring experience working for an established consumer technology brand, in a technology startup or in venture capital or private equity in the technology sector – but we certainly don’t have any strong preconceptions on this front. What’s more important is that you’ll bring a good understanding of the dynamics of business drivers, customer needs and technology opportunities, and you’ll be excited by experimentation and uncertainty. Ultimately, you’ll be a key driver of our continued evolution in terms of process, product offering and capabilities, as well as being able to fulfil the roles described above.

In addition, you’ll have the following experience and personal attributes:
• Equally at home in long-form text or presenting a vivid visual description of a service idea.
• Fluent in product management, project management and marketing concepts and processes – Lean and Agile, product analytics, customer acquisition and retention.
• Vertical experience in retail, media, travel, hospitality, healthcare, banking, government or the third sector might also be useful, client-side or as a consultant.
• Knowledge of direct design and software development is massively beneficial – you’ll spend much of your time working in a team with designers and developers throughout client engagements, and so need to be both comfortable with and capable of contributing to this sort of highly creative, vibrant product-focused environment.

Additional Information

Whilst you will have London as an office base location, you must be fully flexible in terms of assignment location, as these roles may involve periods of time away from home at short notice.

We offer a remuneration package which includes fixed salary, and in addition for Senior Consultant and above, you will receive variable compensation dependent on company and personal performance. We also offer flexible benefits options for you to choose to suit your own personal circumstances.
