Managed Testing Services (MTS) is a new Delivery Unit within Business Technology Solutions focusing on helping our client’s achieve business value through testing transformation. The MTS function is responsible for all aspects of managed testing services focusing on: moving our clients existing embedded testing approach to an output/outcome based service, solutioning MTS bids and providing pre-sales support for Sector growth initiatives.

The focus of your role

You will need to be a commercially aware individual who specialises in enterprise-wide testing inclusive of all of its processes and tooling. You will have lead testing on complex engagements and are proficient in analysing and assessing commercial benefits. You are successful at winning pull-through or add-on business to existing accounts and have strong knowledge of Managed Testing Services for both transition and run phases. You will have a strong understanding of test transformation, and the associated ‘levers’ as well as various commercial models such as output based pricing mechanisms. You are an active coach and mentor who helps in coaching others.

What you’ll do

• Be the solution owner for testing deals
• Take an active part in pre-sales activity; presenting our solution to clients and making significant written contributions to bids;
• Be seen as a subject matter expert across managed testing services
• Working with the pre-sales team and offshore test delivery team to build offshore test delivery solutions to fit the business need
• Perform testing health checks that will provide a number of key recommendations and quick wins for our clients and in return will provide growth and opportunity around testing
• Working with current and potential partners to understand new technical solution offerings
• Working with the offshore team to help them develop new technical offerings
• Proactively promote managed testing services across sectors, identifying new opportunities as well as the shift from embedded testing to a managed service
• Support the creation of a ‘best in class’ managed testing services portal and developing existing BTS services lines on that are transferable into testing

What you’ll bring

We are looking for the highest calibre individuals who exhibit the following attributes, experience and skills that enable them to deliver rapid value to our clients:

• Background in Testing and Quality Assurance related technologies and / or business operations
• Able to take a consultative approach in addressing business problems
• Understanding and knowledge of Testing Software and latest innovations that support test solutions and how those software solutions can add value to Testing solutions
• Ability to translate technical solutions into easily understandable terms
• Involvement in sales and pre-sales related content around contributing to proposals, presenting and managing proposals
• At least eight years’ experience in a senior testing role
• At least five years’ experience of managing large / multiple test teams in a programme of complex testing projects across multiple locations against strict SLA’s and KPI’s
• Experience of implementing significant changes to existing processes in an organisation
• Experience of setting up Test Centres of Excellence, tools, processes, people
• Able to successfully lead / implement test transformation initiatives
