The focus of your role

Experienced .net Analyst/Developer for bespoke ongoing Level 3 Applications Maintenance Support (incident and problem resolution) and small scale Application Management Service related Development work which includes all phases of the development lifecycle from initial requirements, design, code, testing and implementation build. The customer is a Government department and the AM Team are located on a client site in the North East of England; hence BPSS security clearance will be required.

What you’ll do

Undertake a lead Developer and mentor role on the team. Integrate with the existing team to monitor, analyse and resolve incidents and problems for supported AM applications in various technologies (principally the .net platform). Devise technical solutions and provide estimates of coding effort required. Design, code and test application enhancements. Undertake implementation build and release activities. There is a substantial amount of business and process knowledge to be acquired in this role which is specific to the client contract.

What you’ll bring

You will be an experienced and confident .net developer, a good communicator both verbally and written, comfortable in dialogues with customers and able to work both as part of a team and under own initiative. Must be able to prioritise and handle multiple ongoing tasks. Experience of production environments and issues arising in live-running would be an advantage. Technologies used include Microsoft asp.net 4, MVC3, Entity Framework, C#, CSS, Javascript, JQuery, SQL, SQL server database, SSRS, SSIS.
