Managed Testing Services (MTS) is a new Delivery Unit within Business Technology Solutions focusing on helping our client’s achieve business value through testing transformation. The MTS function is responsible for all aspects of managed testing services focusing on: moving our clients existing embedded testing approach to an output/outcome based service, solutioning MTS bids and providing pre-sales support for Sector growth initiatives.

The focus of your role

You will be a commercially aware individual who specialises in enterprise-wide testing inclusive of all of its processes and tooling. You lead testing on complex engagements and are proficient in analysing and assessing commercial benefits.

You are successful at winning pull-through or add-on business to existing accounts and have strong knowledge of Managed Testing Services for both transition and run phases. You understand test transformation and the associated ‘levers’ as well as various commercial models such as output based pricing mechanisms. You are an active coach and mentor who helps in coaching others.

What you’ll do

• Move or lead an existing test service to a Managed Test Service taking responsibility for the testing and quality assurance activities at either enterprise or programme level
• Be an active part in pre-sales activity; presenting to clients and making significant written contributions to bids
• Develop client relationships outside of the IT function level at senior management level
• Seen as a subject matter expert across testing and test transformation

What you’ll bring

We are looking for the highest calibre individuals who exhibit the following attributes, experience and skills that enable them to deliver rapid value to our clients:

• At least eight years in a senior testing role and at least five years’ experience of leading large / multiple test teams
• Experience of owning a programme of complex testing projects across multiple locations against strict SLA’s and KPI’s
• Prior experience of working within a client facing consulting style environment and experience of working with Agile and DevOps environments
• Experience of creating and driving Test Centres of Excellence
• Able to successfully lead and implement test transformation initiatives and to operate at all levels in an organisation
