Key Responsibilities

The focus of your role:
As a Principal, you’ll be responsible for originating £1.5m of consulting engagements per annum. You’ll play an important role in our Banking team, helping set the direction, driving forward the business, model our values and behaviours, and coach and develop junior members of the team. Key expectations from this role include:

• Working as part of the Capgemini Consulting leadership team within our business, ensuring the coherence of all of our offerings into large retail banking clients.
• Capitalising on relationships already developed with large retail banks by other divisions of the Capgemini Group. Building a strong network across the Client’s senior management team with those people responsible for engaging consulting firms to assist with internal assignments/programmes, and building long lasting relationships to generate a consistent pipeline of advisory engagements for Capgemini Consulting.
• Leading/coordinating Capgemini Consulting sales.
• Taking the role of Programme Leader, overseeing the delivery of Capgemini Consulting engagements.

Skills and Experience

What you’ll bring
You’ll already be an experienced banking management consultant at a recognised consultancy, with experience of winning/maintaining senior level relationships with large banking clients and working on significant programmes. You will also be intellectually capable of developing and holding peer level relationships at all levels of the client’s company.

Ideally, your profile will include experience of:

• Managing relationships with senior executives of major banks operating in the UK.
• Some of the following: Digital, Customer & Channel Innovation/Customer Proposition, Regulatory Risk & Compliance, Operational Excellence, Analytics and Business Change.
• Developing winning advisory/consulting engagements.
• Programme/project management.
• Whilst not prerequisite, it would be ideal if you had some experience in Agile design, as well as having worked in a DevOps environment.
• A proven track record in new business development / account management in major banks across the full sales lifecycle; here you’ll be given a personal sales target of c. £1.5m of own-generated consulting business.

Whilst you will have London as an office base location, you must be fully flexible in terms of assignment location, as these roles may involve periods of time away from home at short notice.

We offer a remuneration package which includes fixed salary, and in addition for Senior Consultant and above, you will receive variable compensation dependent on company and personal performance. We also offer flexible benefits options for you to choose to suit your own personal circumstances.
