Main Purpose of Role

You will be part of one of the leading Consumer Products and Retail practices in the UK. As a global leader in strategy and transformation, we provide industry-specific services and guidance to the world’s largest consumer product organisations and leading retailers worldwide. You will help our Clients redefine and optimise their organisations, develop visions, improve operations and systems and drive performance. You will be encouraged and have the licence to develop new ways of delivering value.

Key Responsibilities

Client advisory – leverage the consulting expertise to shape and deliver transformation programmes that support the execution of the client agenda. Articulate a point of view and advise clients on what potential solutions may be, and how to structure a programme of work to effectively deliver on it.
• Programme Leadership – a leadership role on client engagements. Operate at most senior levels, effectively engaging with stakeholders: influencing decisions, maintaining focus on scope and delivery of the project, whilst demonstrating flexibility in addressing clients changing needs during the project.
• Client relationship management – developing relationships with senior members of Tier 1 and 2 organisations beyond project delivery. Maintaining a meaningful relationship and communication, sharing and positioning Capgemini’s evolving portfolio of services and identifying opportunities within the client organisation.
• Team Leadership – leading and managing a team, during and outside client delivery; providing guidance and leadership, enabling the team to effectively and efficiently perform. Accomplishing client demands whilst also developing their own skills / competencies to progress and grow professionally.
• Business development – utilising a combination of the organisation’s broader pre-existing relationships and your own network to open, lead and close large complex transformation deals generating revenue across the sector.
• Industry expertise – using own deep expertise, drive differentiation and thought leadership in one or more areas, contributing to the development / evolution of propositions and point of views:

• Consumer Engagement and CRM
• Digital Marketing and Trade Marketing
• Direct to Consumer
• Marketing Operating Model

Skills and Experience

• A Consulting background, having built solid foundations in consulting skills and having already delivered larger projects and transformation programmes.
• In addition to Consulting experience, previous industry expertise, having held a senior managerial role within a Consumer Products company would also be desirable.
• Proven experience of opening, leading and closing large complex transformation deals.

• Demonstrates a can-do attitude, proactive thinking/doing, being able to navigate complex networks of relationships internally and externally.
• Sharp intellect and strong problem solving skills to address complexity thrown by client challenges; as well as analytical rigour and proven ability to synthesise data and formulate conclusions / recommendations.
• Ability to empathise with clients in politically challenging environments and to work to demanding timeframes / deadlines.
• Intellectually capable of developing and holding peer level relationships at all levels of a client’s company.
• Demonstrates the potential to be a leader in our business and able to work fully collaboratively across a number of teams.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Whilst you will have London as an office base location, you must be fully flexible in terms of assignment location, as these roles may involve periods of time away from home at short notice.
