Who you’ll be working with

In Business Technology Solutions (BTS) we specialise in navigating our clients through the complexities of large-scale, technology-driven transformation programmes, using our skills to drive outstanding delivery. Having the right people using the right methodology and following the right process gives every client the right result.

The focus of your role

You will work alongside our clients to help them realise the full value of their technology investment by providing advice and assistance in handling the ‘people side’ of change.

What you’ll do

• Work alongside our clients to address the people aspects of package implementations (inc. SAP and Oracle) and bespoke IT developments, applying interventions appropriate to the development lifecycle;
• Take an active part in sales and pre-sales activity; presenting to clients and making significant written contributions to bids;
• Develop client relationships outside of the IT function at senior management level and influence at board level;
• Be seen as a subject matter expert across a broad range of organisational change elements;
• Make a significant contribution to development of method and expand the knowledge base within the practice;
• Contribute to knowledge share activities (e.g. Yammer dialogue, conference calls, team meetings) and lead initiatives which develop the BTS Training Team community of practice;
• Participate in industry forums.

What you’ll bring

We are looking for the highest calibre individuals who exhibit the following attributes, experience and skills that enable them to deliver rapid value to our clients:

• A strong academic and continuing professional development record, ideally including a relevant degree or management qualification;
• Some experience of working with package implementations (inc. SAP and Oracle) and potentially with bespoke IT developments, applying interventions appropriate to the development lifecycle;
• A highly developed emotional intelligence and an ability to read a situation well and act appropriately to it;
• Specific experience in some of the following:
o Stakeholder Analysis and Plan
o Organisational Impact Assessment
o Communication strategy and plan (ideally including delivery)
o Involvement in education and training with experience of conducting training needs analysis
o Operating Model and Organisation Design (inc. role definition) and Business Analysis (inc. process design and business case production)
o Benefits Realisation Management
• Contribution to method development;
• Participation in formal sales and pre-sales efforts and presentation to clients;
• Coaching and direct line management of staff;
• A strong teamwork ethic with a proven ability to work collaboratively;
• Outstanding communications and interpersonal capabilities – both written and verbal;
• Highly developed critical thinking, interpretative and analytical abilities;
• A strong eye for detail and keen focus on results, with a flexible ‘can do’ approach;
• A willingness to learn, grow and stretch into new roles and different industries.
