Main Purpose Of Role

The focus of your role
The Business and Technology Innovation practice is one of the leading Business IT Services teams in the UK and Europe. Our high calibre management consultants deliver profitable outcomes in business technology environments, working in a collaborative way with major FTSE 100 and Government clients to achieve their strategic goals effectively.

You will help our clients within the Financial Services industry understand the impact of leading edge business technologies, and help them put in place new delivery organisations. Your focus will be finding ways for our clients to seize new opportunities and generate revenues from latest technology developments. At the same time you will help our clients shape their delivery teams to simplify and industrialise, as they shift from old world to new world technology architectures. This is a time of intense change in Financial Services and you will be leading and shaping those changes.

Key Responsibilities

What you’ll do
As a Managing Consultant, you’ll have a strong desire to be part of, and contribute to, the growth and success of a top-tier Consulting practice, contributing to our offers, knowledge and overall strategic goals. You’ll be responsible for Consulting sales in excess of £500,000 per annum.

Your key role as a Managing Consultant will be to lead consulting programmes and projects, managing one or more teams of consultants and multiple work-streams. Our Consulting projects range from short strategy assignments to multi-year transformation programmes. Examples of short strategy assignments include advising our clients on how to accelerate their move to Cloud, whilst banking the benefits and minimising business and regulatory risks, or how to transition from traditional waterfall development to DevOps and Agile at Scale. You could be part of a complex multi-year transformation programme, designing and implementing a new Cloud-ready organisation, a digital delivery centre or an accelerated process for selecting and implementing cloud-based SaaS solutions.

Skills and Experience

What you’ll bring
You’ll bring experience in transforming business through enabling technology and transforming the way clients operate. Confident at working in a technology-driven environment, you’ll bring the following experience:

• Proven skills and experience at delivering and leading management consultancy projects within the Financial Services sector.
• Specifically, you’ll also bring experience in at least two of the following:
• IT Advisory: IT strategy, IT operating model design and IT transformation.
• IT Operations: Infrastructure transformation, service management, service integration, digital infrastructure readiness, digital workplace transformation, sourcing and vendor management.
• Digital Transformation: Digital delivery centres, customer journeys, digital product development and deployment.
• Cloud Adoption: cloud strategy and roadmap, cloud architecture, cloud partner management, SaaS selection, workload migration to cloud and building the cloud-ready organisation.
• Technology-Enabled Business Transformation: Transformational programme design and delivery, IT work-stream leadership of large transformation programmes, Programme Management Office (PMO) deployment.
• Innovation and CTO: Ideation, prototyping, incubation, exploitation, technology leadership and roadmaps, insight and data architectures, tools and techniques.
• Enterprise Architecture: Architecture maturity analysis, architecture development, architecture methods and tools, Design Authority set up.
