We are looking for an Innovation & Intellectual Property Analyst to help shape our philosophy, training and practice of innovation; how we develop methodology, challenge our existing paradigms and understand the nature + practice of our & our clients’ business challenges.

Key Responsibilities

Job Description
Reporting jointly to our Managing Partner & our Head of Intellectual Property, you will work closely with Fahrenheit 212’s project teams to identify, cultivate and execute provocative and inspiring innovation methodologies, as inputs that allow us to transform our clients’ brands, products, services and categories.

You will play an integral role in both innovation strategy, execution and discovery while also identifying new opportunities to expand our suite of innovation strategy and ideation approaches.

As an Innovation & Intellectual Property Analyst, you would be responsible for:
• Exploring viable market opportunities that will both inform and inspire strategy and idea development.
• Immersion Phase Research: At the front end of each project, you will be responsible for exploring the competitive set, consumer needs, the client’s business, and recent developments in the market.
• Innovation Strategy and Strategic Hypotheses Support: As the innovation strategy and subsequent hypotheses are being developed, you will offer strategic insight and supporting data to the project team.
• Assessing the viability of each of our notions to help determine whether they should move forward to the final idea portfolio.
• Solutions Development and Validation: During solutions development, you will generate ideas based on the consumer and commercial insights and will help build and ultimately assess whether they should move forward to the final solutions portfolio.
• Diligence and documentation of innovation methodologies, e.g. identifying common tools, success factors and designing repeatable and reliable approaches and methods.
• Partnership w/ F212 internal + external resources to identify and encourage best practices, e.g. partnering to find frameworks and aid in their deployment against active projects.
• Secondary research into competitor offerings, e.g. identify best practices across the innovation sphere and provide competitive analysis of best in class across the industry.
• Prototype methodologies, e.g. identify, shape and design new aids for projects while building learning and development vehicles to bring these approaches to life across our practices.

Skills and Experience

Skills, qualifications and experience required
You should have experience in understanding consumer and commercial processes and methodologies, along with a bachelor’s degree.

You should be a lateral thinker, adept at uncovering the themes and critical pieces of information that can spark game-changing innovations.

You should be self-propelled by restless curiosity, resourceful in scouring the world for insight, comfortable in a highly charged idea-centric environment, fascinated with changing the world and should be able to move seamlessly from high altitude thinking to the tangible and practical.

Specific skill requirements include:
• Comfortable in conversation; experience in producing content, with a flair for getting people to liven up, open up and dig deeper.
• Ability to synthesize insights and develop processes and frameworks to repeatedly produce results.
• Identify the why in addition to the how, distill the essence of an exercise and teach both the concept and the practice.

You should display, and be able to demonstrate the following characteristics:
