Who you’ll be working with

You will be working within Application Management Services (AMS) Delivery Unit, in a joint team with Application Development & Integration (AD&I) Delivery Unit colleagues specialising in agile custom software development and integration at an enterprise scale.
Our capabilities cover a wide variety of development with and support of Open Source and proprietary technologies with a strong focus on Java and Microsoft.
We are seeking experienced Microsoft C# and Java Developers to deliver of some of the most innovative enterprise Digital projects to our client in the UK secure sector.

The focus of your role

You will be joining a high performing team providing second and third line support to a growing portfolio of client systems. The team provide 24/7 cover via an on-call rota which you would be expected to a part of. You will also be involved in the bespoke development (DevOps) capability the team provides.

To be accepted in this role you will need to hold Developed Vetting security clearance, and therefore you must meet the requirements for holding such clearance. You must also commit to two years in the role.

What you’ll do

• Work on client site in Central London supporting client systems following ITIL-derived processes.
• Provide support 24/7 as part of an on-call rota.
• Get involved in development of new systems which once-delivered will transition to support.

What you’ll bring

• Required - good working knowledge of one or both programming languages and one or both operating systems:
• Java programming
• Microsoft C#.net programming
• Windows Server
• Linux
• Desirable experience:
• XML/XSD/XSLT
• Eclipse / Jenkins / Maven
• Microsoft Visual Studio / Team Foundation Server
• ITIL v3
• Good client facing skills and excellent communication.
• Proven problem solving ability.
• Innovative mindset.
• Discretion.
