SAP UK Limited has announced the winners in its annual SAP Quality Awards for United Kingdom and Ireland for successful implementations of SAP solutions, and delighted to say that two of our clients, Tata Steel Europe and John Crane, are among the winners. Capgemini has also been selected as the Gold Winner in the ‘Fast delivery’ category.
In the ‘HR cloud’ category, Tata Steel Europe took Gold for its PeopleLink project designed to engage and invest in their people to deliver functional excellence. It involved introducing an agile, integrated talent management IT suite, and a strong foundation for common HR processes using SAP SuccessFactors. Embracing technological advances in HR to drive the company forwards, the project demonstrated the agility to respond quickly to changing business requirements. Employees and managers are benefiting from self-service functionality and mobile usage to complete HR tasks at a time and place to suit them. The winning formula for the project was teamwork and strong governance with Tata Steel, Capgemini and SAP SuccessFactors working in partnership towards a shared vision.

Capgemini took Gold for UIsmart implementation to rejuvenate MyPath, Capgemini’s global tool supporting the performance management and professional development process of more than 180,000 employees in 5 languages and across 44 countries. UIsmart support developers in quickly creating user-friendly screens for SAP systems that are optimised for web and mobile platforms.
Delivered within four months, during peak usage time, the success of the project was proved on the go-live day when 44,000 users logged on within the first three hours without issues, testament to the quality, usability and robustness of the new solution. The project transformed MyPath into a modern and intuitive application, and demonstrated the team’s capability to deliver a superior user experience without the need for large scale system changes.
