Nationwide and Capgemini on the IACCM 2016 Innovation Awards shortlist

Category : Awards

IACCM Innovation Awards shortlist for Nationwide and CapgeminiA joint submission from Nationwide Building Society and Capgemini for the Supply Chain Management (OSCM) project, designed to create a state-of-the-art operational vendor management system, has been shortlisted in the Strategic Direction category for the IACCM 2016 Innovation Awards. The winner of this category will be awarded for an initiative that has raised the strategic profile and contribution of the commercial or contracting process or function.

“OSCM gives us a great foundation stone to build some really good relationships. We’ve now put in place a framework that allows us to govern the relationships and to track deliverables and obligations – those that Nationwide is responsible for as well as those that our partners are responsible for delivering against,” commented Sarah Gibbons, Head of Operational Supply Chain Management at Nationwide Building Society.

Craig Conte, VP, Head of Contract Compliance & Optimisation at Capgemini, said: “What’s great about this story is how we collaborated for a real business outcome. Nationwide had a clear vision and needed to manage its vendors within their environment, and we were able to bring in our expertise and experience to help them make this happen in a tangible way, with the requisite scalability and adaptability.”

The full shortlist is available here and this year’s winners will be announced on October 24th at the IACCM Americas Conference in San Diego.
