Categories : PublicAwardsAlliances

Capgemini UK was a double winner at the Oracle UK Specialised Partner of the Year Awards for 2016, announced at a special awards ceremony on Thursday 17 March.

No Oracle Partner Network member company scored more than two wins on the night. Capgemini was successful in the following two categories:

  • Oracle Excellence AwardsSpecialised Partner of the Year: Industry - for our outstanding work on developing t-Police using the Oracle Integrated Policing technology platform.
  • Oracle University Partner of the Year - recognising our strong commitment both to Oracle University and to high quality delivery.

Specialised Partner of the Year: Industry awardThe Industry award for t-Police is particularly notable. Unprecedented change in society, technology and criminality is bringing about a transformation of police business operating models. No force can afford to stand still. There is an urgent need for policing to become more connected, locally, nationally and globally. t-Police from Capgemini, developed with Oracle, supports this transformation. It brings together field operations (front office) and support operations (back office) with informed, consistent and connected processes enabled by shared technology.

Julian Peters, Vice President, UK Head of Oracle and New Packages, Capgemini, said:
Julian Peters, Capgemini"This is a fantastic achievement for Capgemini and recognition from Oracle of the effort, knowledge, innovation and capability we have put in to the transformation of British policing using Oracle as a platform for this. We have won awards for this innovation in the past, however through 2015 we developed the solution further still and with more than seven UK forces now live, we have a proven solution and approach to support the policing sector."

The Oracle Excellence Awards for Specialised Partner of the Year encourage innovation by Oracle Partner Network (OPN) members, who use Oracle's products and technology to create value for customers. The award reflects Capgemini’s success in adopting OPN’s Specialised approach which is aimed at enabling partners to establish industry recognition by following a formal process to become Specialised in key Oracle solution areas.
