Nationwide awards five year contract to Capgemini

NationwideCapgemini has today announced a five-year contract to provide IT infrastructure services to Nationwide. The deal will help the world’s largest building society to drive improvements to user experience, increase its agility to meet growing customer demand and be the number one choice for financial services in the UK. Sunil ParekhI spoke to Sunil Parekh, Head of Business Development & Demand Generation, Infrastructure Services Northern Europe at Capgemini, to find out more. He commented: “We have helped many organisations in both public and private sectors transform their infrastructures and associated services. This new agreement with Nationwide will help us cement our position as a transformation partner.

“IT is fundamental to the success in the financial services sector, but as the speed of change continues to increase, our offerings such as Intelligent Service Centre and MyWorkspace enable businesses such as Nationwide to capitalise on newer technologies and processes to ensure their employees have the right information on the right device at the right time.”

Capgemini will also supply scalable contract compliance and optimisation (CCO) services through its Business Process Outsourcing team for greater visibility and control of Nationwide’s IT vendor ecosystem, aimed at cost savings, risk avoidance and better informed decision-making.

Reaction so far

TechMarketView described it as ‘a good win’ highlighting that it will strengthen Capgemini’s position in the financial services market (‘Capgemini lands deal with Nationwide’) and IBSintelligence noted that will play a leading role in simplifying and modernising the end-user IT experience (‘Nationwide signs five year deal with Capgemini for IT infrastructure improvement’).
