Calling university students: UK entries open for ‘Capgemini Super Techies Show’

Today, UK entries opened for the global, online reality TV series, Capgemini Super Techies Show.

For the first time, countries from around the world will be submitting university teams to compete in the TV series. Participants will battle it out with some of the brightest global minds and solve real business challenges faced by some of the world’s largest enterprises.

Capgemini launched the first series of the Capgemini Super Techies Show in 2012 in India, and it has witnessed tremendous support and appreciation from technology leaders and young techies.

This year’s show will be bigger than ever before, with talented students from six countries invited to compete for the ultimate ‘Super Techie’ title and a cash prize of $25,000 (USD). Participants will attempt to solve the business problems of big brands with innovative technology solutions, and will have the opportunity to showcase their expertise to a global audience.

To be considered as potential tech representatives for the UK on an international stage, teams of two must convince the judging panel of Capgemini execs, our clients and alliance partners that they have the quick thinking, analytical and perceptive skills required to build technology solutions that solve complex business challenges. The UK application stage will remain open until 25 June, with the UK final taking place on 18 July. The lucky winners will be invited on an all-expenses-paid trip to India to compete in the semi-final round. The grand final will be held in Paris.

Tricia Driver, Head of Graduate and Apprentice Recruitment at Capgemini, said:
Tricia Driver - GAP recruitment - Capgemini“Technology and our fantastic people who apply it to solve our clients’ challenges are at the very heart of what we do at Capgemini. We want to inspire the next generation of talent to get as excited about technology as we are. This brilliant competition will celebrate young techies from around the world and I can’t wait to meet tomorrow’s technology leaders, and  to cheer on our UK Super Techies Team as part of this global challenge.”
