Capgemini has demonstrated its strong corporate responsibility & sustainability credentials by being long-listed for the prestigious 2Degrees Champions Awards for the third year in a row. The awards are decided by public vote - details of our entries and how to vote are below.
Social Value category: We are proud of our quarterly Community Impact Awards which have contributed matched funding to local and national charity organisations. The awards are decided by a vote open to all Capgemini UK employees via our intranet. The awards attract thousands of votes throughout the year. While many organisations offer matched funding, what differentiates our initiative is the variety of organisations we are able to help up and down the country but also the high level of engagement with employees year round.

Internal Engagement category: This award recognises strong and innovative internal engagement on matters of sustainability. Smarter Travel Week is an awareness campaign for our award winning TravelWell programme. A key reason for Smarter Travel Week’s success was the setting of the right objectives: our message was not 'don’t travel' but 'travel smarter' to improve your work/life balance, by using technology instead of jumping on a plane, and if you must travel, be safe and stay healthy. The campaign had senior executive support and involvement: heads of Capgemini Group Travel, IT, Sustainability and Procurement, as well as colleagues from around the UK, all contributed to our content.
