Capgemini completes the acquisition of Getronics PinkRoccade Business Application Services BV in the Netherlands
Paris and Amsterdam - Getronics PinkRoccade Business Application Services BV joins the Capgemini Group.

Capgemini, one of the world’s foremost providers in consulting, technology and outsourcing services, has now acquired Getronics PinkRoccade Business Application Services BV (BAS BV) from Getronics Nederland N.V. With the approval of the European Commission and the relevant Workers Council, the acquisition, announced in July 2008, was closed yesterday. BAS BV has now formally become a subsidiary of the Capgemini Group. The new organization will continue operations under the name of Capgemini BAS.
Through this acquisition, Capgemini reinforces its leadership position in the Netherlands, one of its key markets, while developing a stable portfolio of long-term application management contracts in the public sector.
Peter Barbier, Director of Capgemini Nederland N.V., has been appointed to lead the integration of BAS B.V. into the Dutch Capgemini organization.
BAS BV had a turnover of close to €300 million in 2007 and employs 2,200 professionals working on more than 600 projects. Specializing in applications services, BAS BV is one of the leading players in the Dutch public sector IT services market, with 40% of its revenues from this market segment. BAS BV is one of the only companies to offer services connected to the whole applications lifecycle, from application management consulting (support and maintenance), to project development, integration and implementation. Among its main clients, BAS BV counts some of the leading names in the Dutch public sector such as planning organizations, large State administration and social security bodies as well as the main players in Dutch insurance and banking world.
