The need for a more environmentally-aware strategy to govern the use of information technology is increasingly finding its way onto the boardroom agendas of today’s large organisation. This is driven by a number of factors, not least the adoption of company-wide ‘green’ initiatives designed to reduce carbon emissions and wastage of natural resources, often in response to employee, stakeholder and customer attitudes to environmental issues.
This document outlines the main areas to be addressed by such initiatives, and how much Capgemini can help to support them. It aims to help companies define the scope of the green agenda within their organisation by setting out the challenges and proposing strategies and solutions for achieving sustainable IT.
