Capgemini’s Mike Dodsworth won the award for his long and distinguished career in outsourcing and his involvement with people. Mike’s demonstration of exemplary people management skills during his career were a key factor in winning the award. Often the people affected by outsourcing contracts are forgotten - they can feel let down and a lost in the formalities of major outsourcing transfers. Mike has shown a commitment to best practice in supporting staff to transition smoothly to their new positions. Outsourcing is often tarnished by rumour or folklore which perpetuates negative perceptions of employee dissatisfaction. Mike has consistently communicated the positives and shown that outsourcing can in fact be a great enabler for employees and can positively boost morale if handled professionally.
