Shoppers turn to net in Christmas run-up
Figures from the latest IMRG Capgemini e-retail sales index reveals the sales of shoes and accessories increased by 32%.

The index revealed that online shoppers are splashing out on fashion accessories and alcohol in the run up to Christmas 2008. Online sales have increased 16% in 2008 compared to November 2007.
Mike Petevinos, head of retail consulting, Capgemini UK, said: “The Christmas spirit is with us, but it seems clear that shoppers are being more considered than ever in making their genorsity fit their budgets.
“The current climate is making consumers turn to the internet to help make more informed value decisions and purchases.”
