Capgemini Consulting wins European tender for the provision of consultancy services to the Ministry of Transport, Public Works and Water Management
Utrecht - Master contract covers the provision of strategic consultancy services and expertise in the field of facility management

Capgemini, one of the world’s foremost providers of consulting, technology and outsourcing services, today announced Capgemini Consulting, a global Strategic Business Unit of the Capgemini Group, has won a public European tender for the provision of strategic consultancy services and expertise in the field of facility management with the Netherlands Ministry of Transport, Public Works and Water Management. The master contract will enter into force on June 1, 2009 and has a term of two years, with the option to extend the contract twice for a period of one year each time.
At the end of 2008, the Ministry of Transport, Public Works and Water Management issued the European Tender for the Hiring in of Operational Management Consultancy Services for the functional areas of Finance, HRM, Purchasing, Facility Management, Real Estate and Organisation & Management. On the basis of the master contract, Capgemini Consulting belongs to a small group of consultancy services providers that can provide consultancy services to the Ministry of Transport, Public Works and Water Management.
The services in the field of facility management will involve activities such as replacing going concern and interim facility management, implementing and supervising facilities projects, supporting and coordinating events, relocations and renovations, providing advice in relation to cost bearing issues, facilities, main contracting and cost reduction. Strategic consultancy in the field of management & organisation refers to activities such as impact analysis/business case, politically sensitive processes, long-term strategies, concept development, strategy determination, organisational changes and development, change processes and organisational culture.
Ultimately, the contract will be awarded on the basis of a fixed contract price (outsourcing), or an hourly rate.
