Capgemini named a leading Infrastructure Outsourcing Provider by independent research firm

Company’s strong legacy foundation of consulting and technical capability cited as key factor in recognition.

18 June 2009

Capgemini, one of the world’s foremost providers of consulting, technology and outsourcing services, today announced that it has been named a leader in an independent report about Global Infrastructure Outsourcing Providers by Forrester Research, Inc.

Capgemini was among a select group of companies that Forrester invited to participate in its Forrester Wave™ report titled, “Global IT Infrastructure Outsourcing, Q1 2009”. The report assessed 15 providers across 31 criteria and an additional 25-item reference client survey. In this evaluation, Capgemini was cited as a “leader” among global infrastructure outsourcing providers, and the only European-based firm included in the category.

The Forrester report states that Capgemini is an infrastructure outsourcing leader with “a solid legacy foundation of consulting and technical capability,” and describes Capgemini in its vendor summary as follows:

Particularly strong was its story on innovation for services clients. The firm also had a solid, well-funded, forward-looking strategy for the infrastructure business, particularly in the future of cloud/utility-based services via budding partnerships with Google and Amazon.”1

It’s a great achievement for Capgemini to be included among the global leaders in infrastructure outsourcing,” said Richard Dicketts, Head of Global Infrastructure Management, Capgemini. “Our Infrastructure Outsourcing team takes pride in delivering outstanding quality in a cost effective manner whilst investing in future solutions. We see innovation in offerings such as remote infrastructure management, virtual desktop and private cloud computing as ways to ensure we continue to deliver real business value to our clients.”
