MoD to save £35m with online travel service

Capgemini has delivered a online travel service expected to save £35m per year for the Ministry of Defence (MoD).

The new online service, ‘Defence Traveller’ will support the travel requirements of 300,000 Army, Royal Airforce, Royal Airforce, Royal Navy and MoD personnel who will recieve benefits from the best deals in travel. This service will be negotiated by corporate travel services company Hogg Robinson Group.

The new service will provide a simpler way of booking travel and accommodation and the system has already seen 7,000 services personnel register for the service.
