Over a year into the financial slide that began in the U.S., the great deleveraging continues with worrisome spin-off effects around the globe: gyrating oil prices and volatile commodity trading, seesawing currencies, and mortgage-meltdown losses that could exceed $1 trillion around the world. Rising food and fuel prices have pushed inflation in the eurozone to a record high of 4.1% while Japan braces for its first recession in six years
World leaders, CEOs and entrepreneurs will meet in Gleneagles, Scotland - the home of the 2005 G8 Summit - to discuss and debate with how business is contending with these challenges and finding opportunity amidst crisis.
