Online retail slows but still on track

IMRG and Capgemini predicts a bumper Christmas for e-commerce despite a slow down in October.

The IMRG Capgemini eRetail Sales Index tracks online sales from more than 80 online traders including Arcadia Group and tesco.com, offering a snapshot on the health of the industry.

About the ‘IMRG Capgemini e-Retail Sales Index’
The IMRG Capgemini Index tracks ‘online sales’ from more than eighty e-retailers regularly contributing data, which we define as ‘transactions completed fully, including payment, via interactive channels’ from any location, including in-store. These sales are predominantly internet-based today, but the Index remains ready to record e-retail sales conducted via whatever interactive channels the market may embrace in the future.
