2007 saw 15% of UK consumers purchased their retail items online.
Following the release of the IMRG Capgemini e-Retail Sales Index, nearly one pound in every seven spent on consumer goods was spent over the internet, an increase of more than 50% since 2006.
“We believe the internet has come of age. The face of retail has changed and it has changed because consumer behaviour has changed’, Anthoula states.
“Online growth has proven robust and sustainable over the past year, increasing its share of UK retail from the 10p in the pound to 15p.”
