Tom Blacksell
Vice President - Head of Capgemini Consulting, UK
Tom Blacksell has 20 years’ of industry and business advisory experience. His career started in the world’s largest oil major, Exxon Mobil, as part of the Esso UK affiliate. He spent eight years in Esso holding a number of management positions culminating in a role as Group Head of Shipping in the UK.
Tom has been with the Capgemini Group for 12 years where he initially specialised in advisory services for the oil and utilities sectors. He has gained wide ranging transformation experience on many programmes including some of the largest in the industry as BP acquired Amoco, Arco and Castrol.
In the past four years Tom has held various executive and board level roles within the global and UK businesses. Notably he has held board responsibility for the public and private sectors in the UK and has been personally involved in programmes with our largest clients as part of this responsibility. He is currently the head of the Capgemini Consulting business in the UK, which provides the full range of business transformation and strategic advisory services to the UK market.
