Corus sticks with Capgemini for £26m mainframe refresh
Computer World UK reports on Capgemini's contract extentsion with Corus for a further five years.

Corus & Capgemini announced a five-year extention of an IT outsourcing deal
worth £26 million, that will see Capgemini move current on-site IBM and Fujitsu
mainframe services to Capgemini datacentres in Bristol and Rotherham. Capgemini
will look to “introduce utility computing, virtualisation and adaptive storage
as part of its bid to reduce mainframe running costs and improve service levels.”
Capgemini will look to use its Rightshore® strategy to provide on shore service management using its UK staff and its offshore
support from Poland and India.
Bruno Laquet, Chief Information Officer, Corus believes that the mainframe systems are of vital to their customers and employees and believes that “Capgemini will have a vital role in helping Corus hit tough service targets.”
