Corus hammers out £26m IT deal with Capgemini
Corus has extended its IT outsourcing deal with Capgemini to manage its mainframe computers through a number of contracts totalling £26 million.

Corus has extended its outsourcing contract for mainframe computing with Capgemini
in a five-year deal worth £26 million. The new contract will run until 2013 and
see some IT work being offshored to Capgemini’s businesses in India and Poland.
Under the new contracts, Capgemini will retain management of the mainframe computers
which support core activities at main UK Corus manufacturing sites.
Bruno Laquet, Chief Information Officer, Corus, stated that “the quality and efficiency of our mainframe systems is of key importance to our customers and employees in ensuring that we manufacture and deliver the right products with the right quality at the right time.”
