Corus extends IT contract with Capgemini
Computer Weekly reports on Corus extending IT contract with Capgemini in a five-year contract extension running until 2013.

Capgemini announced today that it has extended its current IT contract with steelmaker
Corus to run until 2013 in a deal worth £26 million. Under the deal, Capgemini
will manage the mainframe computers and continue to support core production, stock
holding, purchasing, sales ordering and invoicing activities.
Using Capgemini’s Rightshore® strategy, teams in UK, Poland and India will work to improve service levels for the 10,000 UK Corus employees.
Bruno Laquet, Chief Information Officer, Corus stated that, “the quality and
efficiency of our mainframe systems is of key importance to our customers and
employees, in ensuring that we manufacture and deliver the right products with
the right quality at the right time.”
