Chris Budd, Vice President and Head of Capgemini’s Oracle practice in the UK, who accepted the award on behalf of Capgemini, said: “We are very excited about the award and consider it a reflection of our commitment to creating new business for both Oracle and Capgemini. We have agreed our key focus areas with Oracle and will build on our success through close collaboration with all parts of their organisation. Our customers are expecting an increasingly wide range of integration and implementation skills, practical experience of FUSION and deep knowledge of the industry sectors they operate in from one vendor. Our investment in our relationship with Oracle is crucial to deliver this.”
This award is a reflection of our contribution to winning some of the largest and most innovative Oracle deals in the UK in 2006 as well as expanding the Oracle economy with other new wins across the public and private sectors. Stuart Turner, Senior Vice President - Application Sales, Oracle, presenting the award to Capgemini, said: “Capgemini are very focused in their pursuit of generating new business and now have an extensive track record of large scale e-business and Siebel implementations. There is a renewed sense of energy around the relationship and Capgemini have demonstrated a large investment in building a profitable and successful Oracle practice. We see Capgemini as a strong force in the Oracle market, with its full spectrum of business and technical capability enabling some excellent systems integration work.”
Nigel Kirby Green, Vice President and Head of Technology Services, Capgemini UK and Executive Sponsor for the Oracle Alliance, added: “This is a significant award and one we accept with enthusiasm. We are investing new energy into the relationship and consider this as a positive indication of things to come.”
