As the European Head of Outsourcing, most weeks I talk to people joining us through an outsourcing deal. I hear a familiar story of excitement and trepidation. Excitement at the prospect of being part of a company where their skills are core to the business, combined with concern about an unplanned career change.
The story is familiar to me because I joined Capgemini through an Outsourcing deal from British Steel. My direct experience, and the Capgemini transition process refined through thousands of staff transfers over the last 35 years, now helps people like you move into new roles, retaining much which is familiar, whilst opening up new opportunities for those who are interested.
