Capgemini’s Technology Services teams work on innovative projects, advising on strategy, design and technology solutions through to operational delivery and successful implementation, and providing client support and advice throughout to ensure the success of our programmes. We’ll look at where the company is now and it wants to be, focusing on return on investment, complete operational efficiency and getting the most from IT assets. Great client relationships come with real client intimacy and truly understanding business needs. In order to achieve this you will generally be based on a client site, often working in joint teams with members from the UK, other Capgemini operations and our offshore staff in India. Travel requirements are largely UK-based, but can also include continental Europe or further afield, depending on the type of project.

Capgemini Technology Services capabilities

Capgemini Technology Services offers a range of capabilities to help client organisations succeed. These capabilities are designed to support our clients at every stage in developing the right solutions for their business. You may join one of our Service Lines and work across a range of industry sectors.

Custom Solution Delivery (CSD)

CSD provides a mix of services and solutions relating to custom-built applications, systems integration and non-core package delivery. We offer a combination of highly skilled people plus specialist approaches, tools and techniques to provide a solution on a client project. We also supply pre-defined solutions and additional skills resources.

Technology Consulting (TC)

Technology Consulting aims to bridge the gap between business and IT, and between delivery and consulting to deliver business outcomes. Our skills cover programme leadership and expertise in building information strategies and enterprise architectures. We cover all elements of IT security with a specific capability in identity and access management, and all aspects of infrastructure strategy, including environmentally-aware use of IT, and making complex infrastructures effective and efficient through use of virtualisation and automation. Our Technology Change team focuses on technology-related business change, training and delivery.

Application Portfolio Management (APM)

Margins in all industries are being squeezed and organisations are seeking to get more from their IT investments, evolving their applications’ capabilities in tune with business objectives. The TS-APM team manages live applications for clients, usually against a set of performance criteria, with penalties if these are not met. As part of managing the application, we will support the client in the scoping, specifying, and building of enhancements to the application over time, bringing in our other Solution Centre colleagues for larger pieces of work.

Packages

Our Packages service line is broken down into 4 main areas of business: SAP, Oracle, Business Intelligence and Architecture.

Our SAP Solution Centre provides skills to enable SAP-based business transformation and project delivery, and is part of one of the world’s largest SAP practices. We work within all industry sectors but have a particular focus on government, retail and utilities. Our engagements are mainly with large complex clients that have challenging requirements.

Our Oracle Solution Centre provides skills to enable Oracle-based business transformation as well as expertise in the configuration and implementation of Oracle’s entire portfolio, from ERP to EPM technology.

Our Business Intelligence Solution Centre provides skills to help clients use the information available within their organisation, whether external or internal, to best advantage.

Our Architecture Solution Centre provides the skills needed to plan, shape and schedule change programmes and projects rigorously, so that they are effectively sequenced and their dependencies are understood.

Capgemini has over 40 years’ experience of delivering effective, results-driven services to government and public sector at national, regional and local level. Our public sector team uses technology to help our clients rise to the challenge of improving management performance and operational efficiency in the face of unique pressures including the current cuts in public spending, the ongoing drive towards e-government and the need for greater collaboration between agencies.
