Getting Around

You are in: Aspire

When travelling throughout the country you will profit from quick journeys as a result of this effective fluid infrastructure and low volumes of traffic.

Shrewsbury, Wellington, Telford and Shifnal stations all exist on the mainline between Birmingham New St and Aberystwyth, with 4 services running each hour during peak operating times.  Moreover, Shrewsbury serves as a major-route station, offering frequent services to Liverpool, Manchester, London and Edinburgh.

The popularity of buses is increasing in the area as people have begun to realise how efficient this mode of transport can be.  Buses run daily through nearly all of the county villages, transporting passengers into the towns and beyond.  National Express also offers coach services from most of the county’s towns linking into their network of over 1000 destinations.

Perhaps best of all, each of the Shropshire towns benefit from down to earth car parking charges that won’t break the bank.  More importantly – no congestion charging schemes here!

On the roads …

Despite popular belief, Shropshire benefits from an excellent road infrastructure, with the free-flowing M54, A5 and A49 dividing the county.

For example driving from Telford to Birmingham will take you less than 1 hour, whilst the major conurbation’s of Manchester, Liverpool and Derby can be easily reached within 1½ hours.

And in the air …

To facilitate those journeys to your holiday destination the airports of Birmingham, Liverpool, Manchester and East Midlands will also be in your reach in around 1½ hours.
