During 2005, 3,631 people had received certification at Group level (some 6% of the Group’s total headcount), an increase of 5% compared with 3,456 at the end of 2004.
Professional-interest communities
Capgemini has established recognised professional-interest networks designed to support employees in their day-to-day activities and aid professional growth by providing expert advice, discussion forums and developing curricula and training opportunities.
Internal certification
A four-level certification programme allows staff members to demonstrate their specialised knowledge and experience, while increasing their marketability.
Certification also enables us to put the right people in the right jobs and gives our clients a clear understanding of the proficiency levels they can expect.
We have six main internal certifications for:

- Enterprise Applications Specialists
External certification
The Group’s long-standing external certification policy was expanded in 2005 through online learning programmes offering the possibility of external affiliation.
Group employees were awarded the Microsoft Most Valuable Professionals (MVP) awards for outstanding contributions to Microsoft communities of experts and the Emeritus Member award by BMC Remedy products.
