Sustainability at Capgemini UK
UK Sustainability Programme
How we put sustainability into practice
Our sustainability principles, including our shared values and ethics, guide our relationships with clients, employees, suppliers and the communities and environment in which we operate.

Increasing global pressures, such as resource constraints, economic conditions and climate change, are forcing businesses to adapt. Sustainability provides the opportunity to simultaneously improve efficiency, and lower costs, whilst supporting the global environment.

James RobeyGroup CSR & Sustainability Director
We are extremely proud that our commitment, actions and impacts have been externally recognised. In 2011 we have been awarded Platinum status in Business in the Community’s (BITC) Corporate Responsibility Index (CRI), received three Big Ticks, of which two were Highly Commended, in BITC’s Awards for Excellence for sustainability initiatives and have been listed in The Sunday Times Best Green Companies for the third year running.
The UK Sustainability Programme involves cross-business commitment to continuous improvement. The Sustainability Board – made up of senior executives from around the UK business – set the overall direction in the formulation and implementation of policies, principles and practices relating to improving the sustainability performance of Capgemini UK. It also acts as the escalation point for issues, risks and decisions regarding Sustainability Programme activities, including our ISO 14001 accreditation and Environmental Management System.
The UK Sustainability Programme feeds into Capgemini Group’s wider sustainability programme. For more information on what’s happening at Group, please visit our global website.
